Out today down by a local river and walking in an area I had never been and would never have gone if not for trying to get a boat entry shot for the latest challenge. Happened to see a car mired in the mud next to the river. Zooming in with the camera I saw a hand barely visible in the front seat. Confirming there was someone in the car, after the 911 call, there was quick response from the Roswell, GA emergency departments. The lady was semi-conscious but safely rescued from the car. She had driven off overnight and might still be there if not for DPC.
thanks...obviously it was just timing...everyone would have done the same. Lesson learned though is not to assume a car off the road is abandoned. My first inclination was to do just that.
Wow, she can thank her lucky stars that you were looking for something to photograph for the boat challenge. You did great, Tom! AND I hope you got something for the challenge.
...and furthermore, those were great shots you took and posted. Congratulations on your quick thinking. It would be a nice gesture if you do happen to send along the images to the EMTs and maybe an extra copy for the lady on the receiving end.
WOW.. You saved that womens life.. She would probably like to see the pictures and meet you.. I know I sure would.. I've got chills right now.. What an amazing stroke of luck and timing.
Wow, this is a wonderful thing you did, and just think that you were in the right place at the right time because of a DPC challenge. That is humbling.
I can only imagine how you felt when you saw a hand in that car! Wow. I'm very glad for her sake that you took the area less traveled for this challenge.
Life works out that way sometimes. It's great to see some good news, and to feel that DPC was part of the reason for her rescue. Thumbs up, and a : ) button for ya!
