I'd call it £50. A nice even figure that most bands can afford. Any more than that and they'll most likely bitch about it and put it off.
But that depends... have you done this stuff before? Is it for their own use? CD cover use? Website etc? I did a shoot for a band that just wanted web pics done- i called it £50 as it was my first one. I then did a shoot for a band for web pics, album art, album covers, t-shirt designs and whatever else they wanted the pics for- the fee rose accordingly but not too much to seem pretentious or to scare them (and other bands) off.
