That's pretty cool. Maybe one of these months we can do this. I'll be too busy this month with a side challenge and some other stuff planned but maybe next month.
This could be a challenge in it's own right - depict an element from the periodic table.
It would also be fun to do as a side challenge and try to work through the table, but that's a fair number of pictures, and some might be a bit challenging : -)
The only way this would be possible would be to take pictures of just the letters. Some of those elements are extreemly rare and not exactly photographable. If we got everyone to agree to doing one elements letter someone could throw it into photoshop and make the whole table
Lets do it but we take a picture with the two letters in it and then we can add the numbers when we compile the images. I could compile the chart in photoshop if no one else will.
I read through the site and it seems the printmaking artists ran with the idea of the element...like helium - a balloon and then making sure the letters were visible.

As long as the letters are there. helium is easy! you try Ununquadium lol! thats why letters would be good. kuddos to those that can do it all the same picture but some of those elements aren't exactly common
I was thinking a quick google on the history of the element...the inventor and such to gather ideas for photo images...
I agree the letters should be there for all the element entries.

An earlier suggestion that a group of photogs put together the entire periodic table sounds like a good one. Otherwise, you are talking about 114+ elements...
The concept of letters is a good one - using print media in the everyday to create the symbols. Kudos to those who can incorporate both the element and the letters!
I might volunteer for a few elements, but I think this would be a year long project for a handful of photogs of similar viewpoint
Just for perspective, my alphabet poster took quite a bit of work and I had to really get focused on it for long stretches of time to be able to complete it. AND that was only 26!!!

absolutely this is going to take awhile.... Probably all year for sure. I really want to do a alphabet shoot too... maybe I should just do it!
