This is frustrating. This is what I get for using a subject matter that doesn't scream "This photo meets challenge criteria" The photo meets the criteria on so many levels its sickening. It's also technically sound. I have past challenge photos with a much higher score, with less challenge credibility and huge problems technically. What's next? Probably a DNMC in the next open study!
More ranting later in the week when I can discuss specifics. (after the challenge is over) I usually don't get to fired up over these scores, but I can't help it today. I should go exercise!!
Okay! I know 5.0500 is not a bad score, but compared to my expectation and the work I put into the photo it is disappointing. I feel better now. I'm having a bad day! Thanks for listening.

I'm glad I'm not alone. If the first day is any indication, this is shaping up to be a personal-worst score, and I thought it might have been a personal-best...

The three comments basically say "wow, this is crap!" ;) Okay, not in so many words, but that's what they feel like.
I think where we got burned was trying to follow the instructions to 'find a *creative* way to photograph the concept of "even".' Apparently "creative" is not part of the pat formula to get high marks here. Sorry, I digress... Time to go take a walk.
