I noticed that people can no longer right click on an image to save it, Very cool to try and stop theft. May I also add that if you hold your mouse over the image you get the image toolbar that allows you to save the file still.
Add this to stop the toolbar from coming up;
Insert the following META tag into the section of the pages to stop the toolbar
OR, inside the particular image(s) in question, add the one attribute as shown. This affects only the containing image:

I don't use a right click mouse, but the contextual menu (option-click) still seems to work for me. I like the idea of making it a little less easy for people though ...
I always like the idea of adding an invisible file on top of each image so a "drag and drop" gets a blank file. But of course (as has been argued many times) a screen shot can always get the job done …
AFAIK all image files are cached in a folder somewhere with every browser. So it isn't possible to protect the images from being saved since they have already been saved in order to display.

you're right. not only that, but it takes just a few keystrokes to look at the source of the page, and find the direct link to the image.
i think mostly this will turn out to be an annoyance at best for people casually saving images down.
but on the flip side, it'll also be an annoyance to the legit owners of images. i often save down my own images if i'm away from my home computer and i want a new wallpaper at work or something.
