I've looked through most/all of the symbol fonts that come with MS-word (and photoshot Elements 2.0) but cannot find that little "c" within the circle... can someone point me to it? Many thanks.

In Windows you can use the Character Map application. It's usually found in the Programs\Accessories\System Tools menu.

And ... on a Mac you use the utility called Key Caps.

The circle-C is in EVERY font (virtually), not the special symbol or "Pi" fonts.

Only pre-Panther (any OS prior to 10.3). It's now called Keyboard Viewer and a menu extra. The Character Palette (another menu extra right next to it) is, perhaps, even quicker to use for this purpose.
