Are there any really good websites that teach the basics of photography. I mean I would like to be self taught, no actual classes but I also would like to have an understanding of the terms that are being used on this site.
You might also get a lot out of this thread: The unauthorized beginners guide to DPC I was here a few months and figured most of this out on my own before I ran across it. It's a humorous, but truthful as well.

Also checkout the tutorials page right here at DPC. Lots of good stuff on the basics.
