Also . . just want to add that I like the idea of an Easter 48hr challenge - but maybe it should just be that - ' an Easter Challenge' Many people would certainly see Easter as more than Bunnies and Egg's, while for others that is eggsactly what they would want to see - so throw it open :- )
Darn it .. I passed by them in the store yesterday and resisted the urge to buy them, now I just have to go out and find a store open tomorrow so I can get some!
I think this might be a USA/Canada only challenge. :) As far as I know, we haven't got Peeps down under.
Thanks for the photo Fetor, at least I know what they are now. It's going to look a lot like a rubber ducky speed challenge. :) Anyone lose a bet lately? Will we see any rubber ducky's cavorting with the peeps?
They're sugar coated colored marshmallow treats made to look like baby chicks. You could very easily make a reasonable facsimile and I sure wouldn't DNMC it - in fact there are (as there always are) a zillion possible takes on this challenge that don't require the actual branded candy. Come on, use your imagination, peeps!

Make Peeps at home. The list of ingredients is very short and most people in stock at most homes. Back in my "I've gotta make everything homemade" days, I did make these and it's pretty easy.
