My Mom is a wonderful woman to put up with me and my new Alien Bee 400 and yes I only have 1 right now. She did a sitting for me and I would love some comments and critiques. The only editing is sharpening, cropping, and resizing and that's it.

I think the lighting is really good on all of them. Focus seems nice and clear. Maybe the skin tones is a little bright but not too bad.

I think they are perfect! the light is perfect and I think its nice and sharp.

Great job, I prefer the second for posing and crop, the images are nice and crisp. I think just a tad more light could be added to the eyes via dodge at low opacity with a soft edged brush, I think it would help bring more attention right to the eyes that the glasses take away.
Get some reflectors and you can do tons with that one light! Great work overall, keep it up. :)

I agree. I watched the Finelight 4 dvd set by Dean Collins this weekend and some of the lighting he acomplished with just a single light was amazing. Gives you a lot to think about.
