Glimmerglass Opera it accepting applications for their summer internship that I did last summer. It was a wonderful experience. The people were wonderful, the location was beautiful and I got a ton of new experience working with their Alien Bees lighting kit doing headshots and portraits.

Glimmerglass Opera is still accepting photo intern applications: Photography intern position. Early June - late August. Assist professional company photographer and public relations department to produce publicity and archival photographs of the season's productions and events; maintain photo files; help staff audience services desk as needed. Proof of excellent photography skills, knowledge of Mac applications and Photoshop required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Awesome, I submitted some headshots and some other random fine arts stuff I had done by this time, I had only been doing photography for a couple of months with my new camera when I applied.
So, they offered me the internship on Friday. Woot. I've been crunching the numbers, and I think I'll be able to handle it financially, so I'll probably formally accept it tomorrow. I think this is going to be pretty awesome.
I'm pretty excited for this. Frankly I hope they have ridiculously high expectations, lol. This will be an interesting new challenge for me. It'll be fun.
