Silence. What can i say? Lots of the same ideas, nothing particularly outstanding, but then nothing all that bad either.
My pic has no graveyards, unplugged headphones, stereos in must, flowers, deer or birds. No tape or mouths, no nudity or kissing. No sunsets, landscapes, sleeping kids, pianos or old cars.
I tried something different - originality. I just wish i could do more than the basic editing allows!
I just voted and whilst, in such a high number of entries, I did find a few great images and several good ones, I have to say that, in my opinion, this challenge has produced an unusual abundance of incredibly dull and uninspiring pictures.
That said, I'm going to try and comment as many as I have time for.
Not posting just to make anyone feel bad - and hey - your score is higher than mine of 0.0 - since I didn't even enter...
I had an idea for a shot that I wish I had entered . It was of a sleeping child and a deer with its hoof up to its lips, on an empty playground. In the backround there is a graveyard and the sun setting over a snowy mountain. It was in black and white of course. Sadly I never got to assemble all the parts, the damn deer wouldn't put it's hoof to its lips.
More seriously I had a hard time fairly scoring the images that had one or more of the above in them since the third time you see an empty playground ( to pick one at random ) you tend to score it low even if it is better than the first. I had to review and tweak them up and down for quite a while before I felt I wasn't being fair.
I have great hope for the Comming challenge. I for one will be going to a sporting event and getting a crowd reaction shot. No one else will think of that one!

I was suprised not to see more mimes. If mine wouldn't have looked so darn silly, I would've posted it. But I look too silly....
I don't think it's silly. To improve it you might have applied heavier white makeup and cropped it a little better. It's a bit tight on the left. I think color would have looked better with the white makeup too. If you had all that, then all you would need is a hot looking girl to kiss. ;^)
Sunday must be the day of the trolls. Every vote I got today put my score down. Up until yesterday it was pretty steady, up and down 0.01 or 0.02. Guess alot of people are upset about their scores. Actually, I'm doing better than I expected when I entered it, considering how many feel about certain overdone subject matter. I guess these people have come out in full force on the weekend. Cheers.
I start off by rough-voting - and split entries into 5s (which I later differentiate into 1-5 scores), 6s (which tend to stay as 6s but some do get changed to 7s or 5s) and 7s and above.
After the rough voting I go through the images again, numerous times, adjusting scores up and down, until I'm happy that my votes accurately reflect my opinions on the images, having viewed them more than once.
I was just thinking the same thing, Orussel. Every vote today has dropped my score, too. I don't think the total number of votes would change if the votes were being adjusted...
I think it has to do with the larger number of entries, or the full moon, or too much partying on Saturday night, or Who knows?
