I've handled something similar to this for a number of weddings. There was no booth, but we set up in a corner of the lobby and all of the guests come by and get their photo taken. Prints are placed beside their notes in the guestbook. I've heard nothing but good things about it. People have a lot of fun with it. We often have small whiteboard "word bubbles" available. By having someone human behind the camera, we're able to be a bit more flexible (e.g. "Zooming out for the aunt and uncle and their seven children").
At the last bridal show I did was an outfit doing this - $400 to $600 got you the booth and unlimited use/photos for 3 to 4 hours.
I've also heard tell of some photogs setting something like this up on their own and selling for $400 to the B&G. Once the guests get drunk I'm told you get some fun photos!
They had one of these at this annual 50's 60's night they have at a dance hall close to here. The following year the company refused to rent it to them because some women went into the booth and did a couple of top up shots, The way it sounds the company had a writen policy about using the booth for unlawful or distasteful photos. They also have a hard drive inside there that captures and saves every image taken which is how they found out about the topless photos. Just a heads up if you are ever around one of these things after you have had a few drinks.
