Is there an easy way to make borders in photoshop CS? I usually try to do it with the rectangle or line tool but i never seem to get it even... there has got to be something I am missing help please
the way I do it is using canvas size. it's under the Image menu. click Image, then Canvas size. under new size, type in the width of the border in pixels (making sure you select pixels as the units). I usually use the same # of pixels around all sides. you can change the canvas color (the color of the border). changing the anchor gives you different effects (puts border only on one side, for instance).
1. Set your background color.
2. From the menu, choose Image/Canvas Size and increase by 10 pixels (or what ever size you want the border to be).
To get a Black border with a white inset border, first size with a white background for as small size, then resize with a black background with a bigger size.
