In response to some queries regarding my "Sea of Tranquillity" submission and how the effect was achieved, I`m taking the opportunity to post the original, which will show that almost everything was already in place...(Good old Mother Nature.)
I just concentrated on getting the composition right..then deciding whether to desaturate or not.
My biggest problem was deciding whether to submit this image or one of two others (included).
The next big problem will be trying to figure out how to set this up for people who have requested prints....Bear with me folks :)
Naturally, I`m chuffed to have attained a ribbon but the downside is how do you top it ??
Regardless,I`m going to enjoy trying.
Another plus to come out of this win is the inspiration it should give to others like me who only know the basics of post processing.
If I can get there ...so can they. This came on the back of my lowest ever score for the "Shallow DOF" challenge and it would have been easy for the head to go down...Never give up, your next picture could be a winner.
