Here is what it looks like with a bit of Shadow/Highlights adjustment and the lights burned out and cropped to 1.5:1

not the best basis to start from, but here's my quick&dirty edit

needs some more work, but darkening and blurring of background seems essential to me. wouldn't change the crop.
