Way back last year, rather end of 2006, my sister sent us, me and my brother, an email noting gifts for Mom for Christmas. One of the suggestions was gift certificates to a West Philly Restaurant that she likes.
In April, my frient Bev, who is a retired OR nurse from HUP, had one of her nurse alumni get togethers. She could not stop raving about the restaurant or the lemon chicken and wanted to go back there for dinner on the same day as the alumni luncheon.
I did a little research and found it was the same restaurant Mom liked. We took here there for Mother's Day this past May. Bev and I have been back several times, once with Mom for her birthday.
On one occasion, we decided to go there on a Sunday. Since I was not familiar with their Sunday hours, I went to their website and got the information. While there I sent an email to be placed on their email list. Not thinking anything of it, I was totally surprised the next day when they emailed me back stating that he, one of the owners, went to my website (I have links to my Website and DPC Print Site on my email signature) and said they had monthly art exhibits at the restuarant and that if I ever wanted to have a show there to let him now. I did.
So the DPC print order is on its way. I just came home with 12, 12x16 frames with matted 8x12 openings. I got 4, 16x20 frames free from my sister. Just have to get 14, 8x10 frames of some sort and I'm almost done.

Thanks, Charlene, Skip, Eugene, Sara, Larry and Ralph! Yep. 30 total. The gallery is a room in the restaurant. I think 30 with 4 16x20 and 12, 12x16 frames for the 8x12's and the 14, 8x10's should fill it up nicely. The DPC Print order arrived today, a day ahead of schedule. I'll get the rest of the frames Friday. I actually have a photo gig tomorrow: Taking shots at the frist day of a conference at a local PSU campus. Should be interesting. Gotta get some SB600 flash learning in by them. Hate flashes...they scare me.LOL!
Well sorry I did not get any pictures but the show was a wonderful experience. I sold 11 framed prints. They'll stay in the show until mid February. I also had inquiries into prints not in the show and for another copy of "Tandem" and two more copies of "Largamente" . It was a blast and I hope I can get to do this again soon. Thanks DPC....couldn't have done it without you.
