In Photoshop CS3, let's say I have two layers, each with a Smart Object (SO) of the same landscape image, but exposed differently in ACR when converting from RAW. One SO is converted to properly display the land, the other SO converted to properly expose the sky. Let's say the sky SO is the top layer. I add a layer mask to mask out the land (which now shows the properly exposed land from the lower layer).
To make that transition from sky to land appear much smoother, I want to apply a linear gradient to create a fade between the two SOs. Is this legal under the Advanced Editing ruleset?
