It seems DPL2 is going to take forever to start, so why not a little throw-down, drag-out, smack-talking, one-on-one, single elimination bracket.
Here's how Season 3 will work:
The third season of the ELIMINATION LEAGUE OF DEATH
Entry Requirements:
This season there are no entry requirements other than membership (since the venue is the weekly member challenge). The rules are as follows.
1) I am the Supreme Overlord ™ of this competition and thus will be the final arbiter of rules and format.
1a) No whining. This is the League of DEATH! Whiners will be chewed up and spit out.
1b) The only weekly challenge that will matter will be the Member challenge. What if week 2 turns out to be Nude V? See rule 1a.
2) Each entrant will have their ratio of finishes at the 95th percentile or above calculated. (The ratio can be stated as the # of entries, on average, it takes for you to achieve one 95th percentile finish; a lower number is better). Don’t worry, I will calculate it for you. I am a generous overlord. Don't think it's a fair way to calculate your true skill? See rule 1a.
3) The Top 16 ratios will be seeded in a standard bracket fashion.
4) If you have four or less total entries you cannot be seeded this season (you can, however, enter). You must have 5 challenge entries to have a qualifying ratio.
5) The 16 remaining entrants will be randomly assigned a first round matchup against one of the seeded entrants. This means that the worst ratio does not automatically face the highest seeded entrant.
6) The first round begins with the members challenge announced on December 30th.
7) Since winners are not determined for each round until the next week’s entries are due you must assume you will win your round and enter the next week’s challenge.
8) Trash talking is encouraged. There is no prohibition on posting scores although there is also no requirement either. Non-entry or DQ will obviously lead to a loss.
9) The Top 3 finishers will receive a special avatar they can display on their profile announcing them as League of Death Winners.
