Coley. I feel for you. I don't know what I'd do without my camera. Ever thought of buying another one? This would be a good time to do it. Perfect excuse.

The thought crossed my mind about 1,000,000,000,000,000 times but I am waiting til spring to go DSLR...alas
This weekend I took pictures to enter all three contests, bought a new laptop for storing my digital images, watched "Winged Migration" because I heard the photography was fantastic, checked out DPChallenge and graded pictures in the most recent challenges, bought a couple of digital camera magazines to check out the new cameras. My wife thinks I am obsessed.....I agree!! Oh, I also made my wife a valentines day card, bought her a gift and took her out to dinner. All bases are covered!
Score somewhere in the mid 6s so I guess I'm getting what I deserve right now. Must remember to think more before entering the first ideas I have... Gordon
As usual I am hovering around my infamous 5 for both pictures. Gordon do you want to give me your first ideas?
For the first time since joining I'm not entered in any challenges. I had a last minute idea for black, literally and didn't make it by the deadline. Nothing for The Four Elements either, nothing grabbed my attention enough for me to want to take a picture of it. Still thinking about textures.
I entered all three and I really wish I had not. In the future I don't think I will want to enter a challenge that I don't take at least two days to finish.
I took all three photographs the same day, and by days end I felt relieved which is the first bad sign. I wasn't really happy with the pictures but wasn't prepared nor had the time to try to submit any alternates. I do like my photo for Textures, so I guess one out of three isn't the worse thing that could happen.
Until I can do better I think I need to photograph and process on one day, wait a day, then if I feel I have the best I can do, submit. In short..... I have a lot to learn and a long way to go.
