What is the best photo size for..

What is the best size for photos that I want to put on the internet? I want to put photos from a shoot on the internet for customers to look at. What is the best size to use so that they cant print them off the net. I dont want to put my name across these ones but I do want to protect my prints. Thanks for the help.

you want them to be able to print them from the net, but also want to prevent them from being printed?

set up a private directory and pass on the login info.

640 pixels on the longest side should give you ample image size as a pro0f while being pretty much useless as a print (other than for wallets).

However, some people will settle for a crappy image to save a buck.

I have made them the same size as the DPC photos but do I still need to save them to a certain file size such as 100kb?

typical sizes that I use are 650-700 pixels in one direction and use 150k for file size. Although I have a flash site that I set up through Lightroom so it may be a little different.
