I like the dancing trees the best. It has a nice symetry. I'd think about desaturating it because the color that is there makes the picture look like it's colors are off. The big tree is pretty but I wanted to see the full curve in the road and shed(?) in the back and less of the tree on the left. I'm not really the best at giving critiques, so maybe some of the outdoor photographers will wander by and give a better review.
yeah i agree with pcody.
i think it is important when cropping to be VERY careful at what we crop or don't crop off. on the picture of the big tree the edge of the tire track meets EXACTLY with the edge of the frame. this doesn't work and makes the eye leave the picture. I think the middle picture perhaps has blown out snow, but i like the composition very much and find it an interesting picture to look at. The dancing trees were really nice too. Perhaps i could have done with a little more, or less cropping, one or the other.. but over nice.
The middle one does nothing for me, I like the third one, the first one is really special - the path adds to composition and the scene is just so romantic.
I like the first one, the second one doesn't really do anything for me, I love the third one (dancing trees), but would definitely go black and white. I agree that the color does not add to it's appeal.
I like it better desaturated, but with the same tonal range as in the first photo. You've lost a lot of the details in the one where you adjusted the contrast. It seems to be too harsh now, imo.
