Is it my imagination or is there a definate twist between how the facts appear in the news story and the court documents?

I commend the jury for reaching their verdict. I don't understand how a convicted felon accused of commiting crimes against children could upon parole continue to come into contact with children. Hopefully they both stay locked in a cell for a long time.
