We used to have only one Open challenge each week. The numbers got to over 600 every single week & people started begging to have 2 exclusive challenges.... careful what you wish for. :P

It's more about not having the time to go out and make the photographs. After working 60 hour weeks -- which means saying goodbye to my kids right when they wake up for school and goodnight to them right when I get home -- I'm not totally willing to take time away from my family to pursue hobbies right now. (And yes, I'd rather work less and hobby more, but I get paid for the work so that's also more in my family's best interests.) Anyway, I didn't initially join here to enter the challenges, which explains why I went a year and a half before doing one. But I'm also becoming more active in a local camera club I've joined, which will hopefully create more opportunities (and skill) for me to get some more entries in on here. FWIW, I expect to enter two challenges this week. :)
