So I started playing w/ raw with my canon G6 and just opened my files in photoshop. I'd get a number of different processing choices--temp scale, etc. When I open my NEF nikon files I only get the automatic temp choices and exposure. I like the canon window much better--is there a way to open my Nikon NEFs and process the same as my canon files?

Update Adobe camera raw or even better, get Nikon Capture NX...

From the looks of the Photoshop (ACR) window, you're not using Photoshop CS3. It probably is not possible to get CS2 to open the D80 files because no update for ACR (Adobe Camera RAW) has been made available that both is compatible with earlier PS versions and compatible with the D80. Your choices are:
- Upgrade to CS3
- Convert to DNG and open with your current ACR version
- As Sander posted, get Capture NX
- Get Adobe Lightroom, which has the same RAW conversion engine as PS CS3.
