That plate is also called the focus screen. On some cameras it's possible to unlatch it and remove it. But to be honest it's always fiddly, and there's the risk you'll damage something in the process.
Since these spots won't affect the image quality, my advice would be to just leave it alone. I've got a couple of spots on my D40's focus screen as well, and the focus screen in my film SLR also collected dust. Eventually you just get used to it, and you won't even notice them anymore. |
