I'm having trouble when ordering photos. When I order a different sizes I end up having to crop off part of the photo. Is there a way to resize or something to avoid this. PLEASE HELP!

It's all about aspect ratio. An 8 x 10 doesn't have the same aspect ration as a 4 x 6. Cropping or putting a border around a picture to get the right aspect ratio are the only options I see.

If your image is close to matching the aspect ratio that the printer offers, sometimes you can just stretch the image a little bit to make it fit. Say if your ideal crop is a 8 x 9.6, then try resizing just the long dimension up to 10 inches. Depending on the subject matter, the stretch may not be noticeable.

Another approach is to extend the canvas and clone in the missing material. That's obviously more work, but still pretty easy for things like sky or foliage.

I avoid cropping by doing most of my printing in the 1:1.5 ratio, which is the same as the native dimensions of the EOS sensor. Thus, most of my prints are 4x6, 8x12, or 10x15. When I wanna go larger, there's 16x24. All good sizes and I never have to create multiple upload-able printable files.

If you order through kodakgallery.com, there's an option to turn off cropping, the result being that they reduce the size to fit completely onto whatever size print you ordered. That's the only online photo service I know of with that feature. However, their color management can be spotty.

Wolf does that as well. You end up with a white border area around your image.
