Shot several pics of roses I gave to my darling the other day. Here is one composition of one of the roses.
It is a grey day here... flower shots are always a pick up.
Good shot - but the wrinkles on the background to the right of the rose is distracting .
Lighting could have been improved a bit.
Other than that the rose is nicley centered and focused on.

Must be my monitor...the wrinkles don't show ...will have to recalibrate
on the voting pages, if you can see all the shades of grey and white, ant the bottom of each image page, your monitor should be set OK
On my properly calibrated Trinitron monitor, it is very difficult to make out the last dark transition on the gray scale bar used on DPC. The gray value of these two blocks differ by only 9 units (0 and 9 for the last nd second-last respectively). Properly calibrate your monitor, don't fixate on whether you can distinguish those last two boxes, you prolly won't be able to.
