Actually... I'm a bit baffled on why the photographer went to all this trouble. Was it to prove he could do it? Because if he wanted to capture high resolution video image of the moment he could have used one of these;

12 megapixels and 60fps.
But, I suppose as an exercise in perseverance it's interesting.

I'm surprised they didn't straighten all the horizons and align them somewhat more, especially considering all the work that went into shooting it.
