With all these shots of liquid drops winning ribbons lately, I feel compelled to warn the DPC crowd of the fate of another website showing an experiment with liquid drops:
well, even though all of the "drop" photos have been very well done, I personally have avoided doing one because there are so many of them. I wonder how long it will take before they are automatically scored low by the masses like pet photos and flowers are?
I do not mean any disrespect to the "drop" people, especially our most recent winner, as they are wonderful shots, just overdone.

There are always new people joining the DPC community that will be impressed with what long-term members may have gotten tired of seeing. Over the weekend 68 new members/registered users opened accounts here. Check any random dates and you'll see quite a few new accounts...

Well, I suppose "lately" is relative, but the last drop shots to win ribbons were in May.
I personnally don't mind which kind of image wins, as long as it's well done. Whether it's women with scarves, ladybugs, flowers, landscapes, sunsets, sunrises or pets (all of which we get a lot of ;-) and judging by the amount of images stolen from this site, it certainly hasn't reach the "Dullest Website" stage yet.
I think it's important to keep an open mind and just enjoy good images regardless of the subject matter.
