Help us help you by letting us know what resolution you are shooting, what image editing software/version you have and for what size final picture. Samples would help as well of what you are having trouble with, along with the exposure data (EXIF) that it was shot at.
Shooting at 3200 -2400 , software microsoft digital, will update to photoshop in a while ,samples of shots you can go to my profile, there all like that.
Choose one of the Basics (sharpen or sharpen more) and then fine tune with the sliders below. Sharpen in Digital Image xxx will get you close to where you need to be.
Are they sharp before the resize? Looking at the images in your port many seem soft.
Remember that after a resize you want to hit them with a light sharpen to bring back the edges (detail).
I'll be straight up with you, Digital Image Suite/Pro was very easy to use and produced great results but I found the resizing to be lacking. It does not do bicubic interpolation for the resize. I eventually ended up doing all my edits in Digital Image but did the resizing in the GIMP.
Since Microsoft has discontinued production/support for all imaging products I moved to Corel PSP Photo XI which for 34 bucks (OEM) is more than enough editor for me...
