I will be in Kill Devil Hills NC on Aug 12, 13, and 14 and I am interested in some photo excursions GTGs with DPCers.

Anyone going to be in that area at that time and interested? Also, suggestions for excursions welcome as well. Even without people, I'm going to try and find some places for nice landscapes and other photography.

I'm in NC - but I'm about 4 hours from the beaches...
BUT, keep me updated about where you'll be...if I can swing it, it's a good excuse to go to the beach even for a day trip!
By the way, "Kill Devil Hills" is the coolest name for a town, dontcha think? :)

Ooooo, I would love to join you, but I am almost as far away from the Outer Banks as you can be, and still be in NC. :)

Have fun. I know you'll get some awesome shots.

Hatteras Lighthouse; Bodie Island Lighthouse; Canadian Hole for wind and kite surfing, just south of Avon and north of Hatteras village, aska local for directions; Ocracoke Island for the light house and beaches. The Madcrabber restaurant in Avon is mighty tasty. Currituck Light north of Kill Devil Hills is a red lighthouse. enjoy the sunsets and sunrises in the dunes. Have a good trip.

Well good thing I wont be going. I almost hit two pedestrians when I was there 3 months ago...It's hard to see where to turn on those sandy roads.

yea, I kept waiting for state line sign postings, and for you to come burn my trailor. Now, I have to pay someone to get rid of it. ugh.
