I konw it's not the best picture in the world, I took it a while ago. I just need to konw how to creat this type of lighting, artificially, and have it look natural, on a budget. Thank You

Sorry guys, but I can never get the thumb nails to work, if someone can explain how they work to me as well, Thank you.

Not something I've really tried that often, but a quick and dirty thing to try would be to use halogen (or other very strong lights) and diffuse them by covering them with one of those large slightly frosted white storage containers to make a fake lightbox that would work similiar to a natural window. Then use some white card on the opposite side of her face to bounce some of the light back onto her cheek to reduce shadows.

good one moodville! It's hard to reproduce natural light so I try to take my shots in it instead of trying to recreate it.

As for the thumbnails. To the right of the word message, are five boxes, B, i, etc... The last one is to insert thumbnails. But before you do, you will need to go to the picture you want to insert. rest your mouse over it and as you do, on the bottom left os you screen you will see a link and a five digit number at the very end. Remember that number bc it is the number you will have to type in after pressing the thumbnail button to get it to show up on the thread.

Be careful when using halogen lighting as they run very hot and can cause fires especially when confined in small spaces. An umbrella meant for diffusing light would be a good choice that is kept some distance from the lamp, yet would capture the light and redirect it diffused to the subject you want to photograph. You can buy them at most photographic stores. Just don't forget to also purchase some sort of adapter or bracket to hold the umbrella in place.

Hi, the type of light you need is produced by a piece called Softbox. The light you show are cold, white. Softboxes are used to most of model photography. Generally they are not bounced with white sheets but with reflective surfaces for photografic studios. Remember you need te lamps itself, not included and some other kinds of tools like cables, plugs and all...
