After seeing all the glowing reviews of the 550EX (and 420EX), I ordered one, plus a diffuser. Should be here today.

In the meantime, I found this FANTASTIC tutorial/explanation of EOS flash technology and terminology. Hope others find it useful.

I just got a call from home stating that my 420EX arrived just now via FedEx. Can't wait to get home and try it out. I'm going to take lots of test shots so I can learn the temperament between the flash and the camera.

Let me know how you like yours and maybe we can share notes. I will be using mine with the Digital Rebel (300D).
