How about showing which of the comments you have made that have responses and/or how many responses and/or date of last response? This can be presented on your profile page.

Responses??? Some people can't be bothered to tick off a box and you expect responses!!! Good luck on that one... :O)

That is true, but sometimes I would like to respond to a comment to either show appreciation, ask clarifying question, or challenge a point made. And I would want that response to be tied directly to the original comment, instead of in a Private Message.

could be a good feature but if the comment is product during the challenge where the commenter know that there is a response? perhaps an alert on the personal page is need.
