I'm at work and unable to play with this picture in PhotoShop but was wondering if someone could separate the two colors in this image creating 2 pictures, On of the blue channel and on of the red channel? And if they could be made so that they are rather bright that would be great too.

I see that someone did it for you - but there is an option in Photoshop to do this automatically. In the channels palette menu, select 'separate channels' and the image will be turned into 3 images, red, green and blue. I use this a fair bit before making black and white iamges - helps me visualise how much of each I want to use in the channel mixer.

I use this as well, it comes in very handy. The only thing that gets me is that once you separate the channels it doesn't show you at the top what color channel each image is. All you get to see is "Gray", "Gray" and "Gray".

Hmm, I'm sure mine labels each one with R, G or B or something like that - its been a few weeks though, could be forgetting.

When doing seperations in Paint Shop Pro, it shows Red, Green and Blue in the title bar for each new image. Also shows when you seperate HSL and CMKY. This is great when converting color shots to B&W.

Aha, I just checked it out again in Photoshop. Photoshop changes the file name of each of the three gray scale pics by putting a R,G or B just before the .jpg extension. I've never seen that before.
