Well, first of all, I interpreted the "hide a person" part of the challenge description to mean that you had to have part of a person visible in the frame, not the whole body.
I was just having fun with this image; the original just seemed kind of busy and boring at the same time -- odd since it's an "action" shot. The person's hand holding the rein/lead is just visible at the top edge, and part of the idea of creating the duotone was to make the hand blend with the fence as much as possible without making an exact match.
I was tired and up against the deadline or I would have done some burning-in on the front hooves and the middle of the back, which seem to be the areas which most bothered people. Still, I found it interesting that I was able to separate the horse from the background so well using a simple tone curve -- no masking or anything.
Note that this is a miniature horse -- I was hoping to use the unexpected scale to further throw off Waldo hunters ... I almost went with the colorized version, but I know the voters hate that even more than weird sepia ...
