There may be an opportunity for me to do a nude photo shoot (I’ll find out more today) and as I’ve never done anything like this before (not even portrait photography) I am wondering what kind of shooting style I should use. Is it more advantageous to use a “free form” and ad lib style, like a fashion shoot, in which, I allow the model to assume different poses spontaneously, and where I take different shooting positions as I see fit, or should I set up a more definitive set where I know exactly what I’m aiming for with each image element in it’s prescribed place? They both sound like attractive options to me, how can I decide which to use?
Also, if I do go with a free-form style, how should I set up my lighting? I will most likely use two 500W halogen work lights with umbrellas for soft light and hopefully some kind of spotlight for back lighting. Any ideas of how I can rig a homemade spot light?
Here is a suggestion: Turn the heat up wherever your going to do the shoot. Goosebumps don't turn out well in photos ;)
Neither do elastic marks, so you should have your model wear loose clothes without elastic on the day of the shoot. So no socks, bras or panties.
You can make a snoot with a metal plate and a small diameter tin can with both ends cut from it. Use metal, plastic and paper will either melt or burn.
