I shot this with an idea what I wanted it to look like. I could not get it that way in basic so I for some reason still entered it. I hate what I entered...I agree with all the comments. I wanted to see if THIS was a better edit of the same shot. If you don't think it's a good negative space entry, does the photo look good?

I concur with everyone else as far as the second shot being a great photo on its own.
For the Negative Space challenge, though, I have to agree with your commenter who wasn't sure which was the positive and which the negative. To me, negative space should accent or set off the subject, as opposed to simply being the majority of the image's area. Here, the clouds strike me as the main subject because of their striking contrast and threatening presence.
