Was sent to Grenada on a job - Bags lost - Now back in LA - They gave me $150 for loss of clothes etc. Now having to battle to get compensation to hire lights for all my jobs which they seem to not be willing to do!! Saying it can takes up to 12 weeks for compensation to come through - They still don;t know there is over $6000 in clothes and equipment - Cannot tell you how depressing this all is - No one likes those freephone numbers.Anyone who works with American Airlines and has any ideas?

"bags lost" isn't the phrase I would use. There's a baggage handler out there somewhere laughing to his buddies about the haul he took in, that's for sure.
I hope you had major insurance on that stuff.. if not, ouch.
Insurance for lost baggage is based on weight unless you bought extra insurance based on value. At least with Air Canada it is. Not too sure about others but they probably are similar.
