Okay ....... its BIG, its steep and its a mountain. Mount Burke is in the Kananaskis Country of Alberta. I think the summit is at 8300 feet and the view is 100 miles on a clear day. Did it once and it is a great 2-3 hour hike with alot of vertical. Be warned.....I'm grumpy, I don't like people who pick wildflowers and I've always had an ambition to come face to face with a grizzly. Other than that, well .....nothin really. If you are afraid of heights, suffer back pain and want to pee yourself with exhilaration, this may be the GTG for you. If you are American .... that's okay cause we'llmake fun ofyour funny accent. Dare to be daring and willing to burst a lung. If not ...... I'll do it myself anyhow. The date? August 25th or 26th. When all is done? One "Big Ass" campfire and one beer. Well ..... not really one. Lemme know and I'll warn the rangers of our outing. |
