One thing I haven't seen in any of the other threads (or the great articles they referred to) is to set the white balance to "Daylight" or "Sunny". This seems counterintuitive for a night shot, but using automatic white balance is likely to reduce the vibrancy of the fireworks colors. The camera will treat the brightest thing it sees as "white".
Even better, if your camera supports RAW mode, use it. Then you can fiddle with the white balance during post-processing to find the best setting. |
