Just posted my second photo (Total Novice) so I look forward to hearing your comments, both good and bad. Would like to learn more about the rules of composition. Could anyone please point me in the right direction.

Hi and welcome !

Just click on help in the top bar and go to rules. There are also some great topics in the forums. Maybe spend some time looking through that and the past archived photos to get a idea of what works well and how things are done.
