OK all should be fine now. When I had to change some usernames I forgot to go back and sort manually. Sorry! I went back and populated each free study so it should be correct. If you get a chance please check your scores.
NOTE: if you have a username change PLEASE let me know before the free study ends.
Simms, I think it may be too late, I know they let a few people back in February and maybe march but I think they got zeroes because they didn't join beforehand. But i have been wrong before...
Scott, every month the link I bookmarked goes dead. Am I doing something wrong or when you update, does the link change?
Also, is there any way to see the old spreadsheets to see the improvement.......or the lack thereof?
Thanks for all your work.....I love this project as it makes me work for my photography.
Yes the link changes each month, sorry. Trying to fix that.
I'm in the process of setting up past FS standings for comparison.
Thanks your complement. I glad you like it and helps you.
While I was updating the Free Study Marathon I fixed the problem on how the points are earned. Up until now the maximum points an user could earn was determined by the amount of FSM participants that entered. I have had several, well a lot, of users that asked if it would be better if the points was awarded from the highest amount one could earn based on how many people enrolled in the FSM, not how many enters each month.
I have listened to the users and now the points will be awarded as follows:
1. The photographer with the best average each month will earn points equal to the amount of participates that enrolled, not the amount that participated in a particular free study.
2. We have 132 participants enrolled in the 2007 FSM, so the highest average participating photographer will earn 132 points, second highest average 131 points, third 130, fourth 129, and so-on till all photographers have been awarded points based on they're average.
3. The lowest amount of points a photographer can earn is based on how many participants entered. If 100 photographers entered in a given free study then the lowest score would be 132-100=32 points. If all participants enter then the lowest points that would be awarded for the lowest score would be 1.
Have fun everyone.
Now if I can get this going in PHP/MySQL I will also bring back DPCstats. If anyone remembers that was a place where you could enter your usersname and find out how you rank against other photographers/users that want to participate.
If anyone is willing to help donate time for the coding, I have the web host and some knowledge of php, apache, MySQL, and phpMyAdmin.
