I've received a couple of PMs regarding comments left on photos today (nice ones). Usually I click the link to reply. Even though I'm already logged in to DPC I always get the message telling me I can't reply to the message unless I log in. So I click on the link and log in and send the reply.

Recently even that isn't working.

Which means I'd have to open DPC, go to the Community Profiles page, search for the user and PM them from theur profile page. Which is all pretty time consuming.

So can I just post a generic "You're welcome!" message here instead. If anyone has specific questions related to my comments I will, of course, answer those.

PS It's really nice to receive thank yous for comments. I do appreciate it, but with this log in thing replying is just frustrating at the moment.

That doesn't happen to me at all. I have no idea what setting might affect that though, sorry.

You may have disabled the use of cookies in your browser, or have your security settings set too low. Check those things and see if it works for you.

that's most likely it - must be different levels of security. i can stay permanently logged in on dpc, but yahoo mail never does.. although i've noticed other people are permanently logged into yahoo when i use their computers..

I'm sure cookie and security settings are all fine. That is evidenced by fact that I stay logged in to the site itself just fine when I shut down and restart, and have no problems staying logged in to all other (numerous) sites I use that require logins, passwords, etc.

This problem only manifests when clicking the link to respond to a PM - it seems unable to pick up that I AM already logged in.

Any other ideas?

Any way just thought I'd pass on the message here rather than have people think didnt appreciate the "thanks" messages.
