I feel your pain. I'm in my third year with the same company, working summers and winter breaks. When I started out, I was located in conference rooms and spend my days cleaning out files and moving boxes and scanning endless reams of stuff. It stunk!
Granted it has improved a lot, although this summer they stuck another intern in my cube-sized office with me. Isn't the greatest thing, but we got it worked out so it's functionable.
So I can't really complain, it's a good job and pays well, and they really treat me with a lot of respect, and give me a lot of freedom. But I'm with you on wanting to get out and live my dreams. And heck, your coffee shop idea looks pretty cool, so at least you've got something to work toward. Me, I just have a vague sense, but no real goal like that to keep focused on.
