Today I got a really cool photo that definately fit the challenge and fit it very well only to come home and find someone had posted an outake similar to the photo I had taken. We aren't suppose to discuss a certain photo in the forum during voting, so why should we be posting our ideas (outakes) before the voting begins. It's one thing to share tips and techniques but to actually share an outake can prevent others from entering or from entering their best photo cause of what you posted!
... I really hate it when people start up threads as soon as a challenge is announced and list every subject they can think of, especially the ones they plan to vote low on (maybe because they're unoriginal?).
I think there really is a "spoiler" effect to posting photos similar to ones in the challenge, especially since they "can" be specifically discussed in the forums, which can't help but be prejudicial (good or bad) to the actual entry.
I think the time to submit "out-takes" is AFTER the challenge, when there's a logical opportunity to compare them with the RESULTS and guess if they "would have" done better.

I agree also, but do you think that the majority of the voters read forums? Or for the ones that vote low, (cuz they have their own strict interpretation of a challenge), CAN READ AT ALL? (C:
