I got the s5000 about a week ago as my first real camera (digital or film). I found it very easy to use, and have not had any problems with it.
The only thing I would change is the quality of the pictures. There is noise visible if you view them full size. To cure this problem I used the Neat Image demo, it works very well on smoothing out the noise on most pictures. The only time I cannot use it is when there are a lot of small details in the photo, like a macro of a leaf, or any detailed texture.
I have taken almmost 400 pictures in the past week, and most have come out very well. I would recomend it to anyone with a tight budget, or somebody that is just starting out. |
