Does anyone know how to create a slideshow of your pictures that you can watch on your DVD player?

The VCD file format can also be played on DVDs (you burn the CD, it plays on DVD players), not sure how you would get a slide show to work though.

I suggest dropping by Roxio (Toast, Easy CD Creator) at Roxio.
They have an archive of semi-technical newsletters on a variety of topics related to burning files to CD/DVD, with how-to's (and some fascinating how/why info too) and references.

Philips has DVD recorders out on the market now. So, I was thinking of another option.

You know how digicams have that slideshow feature? Well, mine does, because it can connect to a tv or vcr video input with the supplied RCA cable. Anyhow, if your digicam has this slideshow function, AND you have a Philips DVD recorder [set-top I mean] you can simply plug the camera into that and record away.

Just an idea.
