It is my particular pleasure to announce the awarding of an OOBIE to GeneralE for this masterpiece:



It is the only photo I can think of that received a Posthumous Blue Ribbon and a DPC Brown Ribbon. It embodies the OOBIE as well as any photo I can think of... not by avoiding the challenge but by fulfilling it so perfectly that almost no one can see it.

I must say I didn't get it when voting. I appreciate it far more now after reading the photographer comments.

me too. I gave my lowest vote but after reading the comments and really looking at it I think it deserves much more.

To top it off, two different commenters said they had suspected it was an entry by posthumous : )

Special kudos to the commenters who took the time to research the odd title before the voting was over!

My long-time goal has been to have an entry with votes in an inverted bell curve -- I guess this is pretty darned close.

my apologies also,even tho i saw the mushrooms as "clouds" of a nuke blast,i never put 2n2 together,went right over the top,wow,thnx for helping me stop an smell the nuclear wind that went straight over my tiny heed,great thinking gen
