The potentially ironic part of this is that this particular team is destined to go down in history as "the greatest ever". You'll be telling your grandkids that you had a chance to get in on the ground floor but blew it.

I had this problem for awhile too. I'm not sure if people where holding out for better team or just busy and not checking email. I started sending PMs with the hope that they would accept or reject so I could move on.

It looks like there are a few team captains in the same boat as you. Start sending PMs to them, and see if you can combine members to get enough for a team.
